Best places for a family night in or around Boise

Family nights are a bundle of fun. The whole family gets to go out someplace nice and have fun together, and if you dine out, you don’t have to worry about coming back and cooking, either. For those with kids, it may be the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening. Here are some of the best places in Boise for a family night:

1. Pojo’s Family Fun Center

It’s in the name – Pojo’s Family Fun Center is great for families. They are open now, and they have an indoor carousel, lots of great rides, a café with delicious food (including some incredible pizza), and lots of fun stuff overall. It’s an all-in-one location for a family night focused on your kids. Ideal for birthday and other celebrations.

2. Memorial Stadium

It’s a beautiful stadium where you can hang out with your family and watch some baseball. Watch the local teams compete against each other and enjoy the food, for a pleasant night out. You’ll love it there, and your kids will grow up with fond memories of the place. The rates are very reasonable.

3. Regal Edwards Boise & IMAX

Go for a movie night with your kids, and watch one of the latest blockbusters on a big, 3D screen. The experience is surreal and intense, and you’ll have the time of your life (assuming you like the movie)! Their rates are a little high for a movie theater, but the experience is well worth it. Go to one of their 3D movie screenings for something new and exciting.

4. Escape This

Escape room games are always fun, but solving one with your family is doubly so. It’ll keep your minds occupied for a while, and figuring out the clues is always satisfying. After solving the puzzle, you can go to a diner’s and have a leisurely meal. If you’ve been looking for a way to have some fun and escape the clutch of mobile phones, this is just the thing!

5. Pinz Bowling Center

Pinz is the best place around Boise to go bowling. They have 16 bowling lanes, a luxury Z lounge with billiards tables, and a Z Bar & Grill. You can find timings and pricing information on their website. They’re closed on Monday, but they’re open from 12-8 PM on the weekends. Wholesome fun for families.

6. Big Al’s

Big Al’s is not just an arcade as they also have multiple and huge TVs to watch the games, tournaments, and more. Big Al’s has multiplayer sports and racing games, classic arcades games like air hockey, and a prize counter to redeem your digital tickets.

There are lots of other places you can go for a fun family night: Idaho IceWorld (currently closed), VR1 Arcade, Trillium, Tin Roof Tacos, and various others. The local businesses are taking safety precautions and we all have nice facemasks by now, so there’s no reason why you can’t go out with your kids while still staying safe.
